Welcome back! We hope that you all had an enjoyable Easter break.
This week in English, we have started our new book ‘Stig of the Dump’ by Clive King. We have been reading the first few chapters and finding out about the characters. At the end of the week, we started to think about how estate agents persuade people to buy houses. Next week we will be producing an information text aiming to persuade someone to buy Stig’s cave.
In Maths, we have been recapping place value, we have been looking at what value digits represent and we have ordered/compared numbers. Later in the week, we started to learn about negative numbers in contexts such as temperature.
This week we have been thinking about how we can all be purple learners and we have created our own ‘5 point plans’ for when we get stuck on a task.
We had a really exciting science lesson making musical instruments!
