This week it has been lovely to meet and greet the new members of Class One. The children have been getting to know their teachers, finding their way around their new classroom and beginning to adapt to a new classroom routine.
Our topic this term is based on the beach and the sea. We have been thinking about the seaside, sharing our thoughts and talking about our experiences. This topic will last for a few weeks covering a range of aspects such as the natural history which will include animals, plants and rocks.
We will also be thinking about how the seaside has changed over time since the Victorian era. In addition we will be having a ‘Pirate Week’, where we will be reading and discussing Pirate Poems and Stories as well as looking at other aspects of pirate life in stories.
