Dear Parents/Carers,
This week we shared what we had been busy doing over the holidays and we talked about the special presents we got from Santa. We then used our knowledge of letters and sounds to write about our presents.
In Maths we compared the weight of different objects, we found out “some were heavy and some were not heavy”. “We put them in our hands and feel the weight and then we put them in the scales and see what happens”. “One goes up and one goes down, the heavy side goes down”. We then used language to compare the different weights such as Object 1 is heavier than object 2.
This week in phonics, we have been learning the sound sh, ch, th and ng. We have been playing games to help us remember these sounds as well as using sounds we already know.
We talked again about what we have to do to be a purple learning and tried to cahllenege ourselves even more when we talk about our learning.
