Welcome back and Happy New Year. I hope you all had a good break and enjoyed the Christmas cakes.
This week we have been thinking about the value of 2-digit numbers, playing maths games and solving some tricky problems.
We had a visit from Julia Skinner from 100wc ( 100 word count blog challenge)
She told us how we could write a 100 word blog by writing about a picture she showed us. If you look at www.100wc.net you should be able to look at the picture of a cupcake we used for inspiration. There were no rules about the type of writing to be done, we could write a short story, a description or anything at all!
Unfortunately the deadline for this week is Saturday 9th so there was not actually enough time to word process our work and get it online this week. However, we hope as the weeks pass we become quicker at producing our work and manage to get blogging! The good thing about blogging is that other people all over the world can read your work and can comment on it. As a result of reading the comments it will make us try really hard to develop our writing and our work will improve as a result. That’s the plan anyway!
