School is becoming more festive by the minute, despite the nasty bug that is doing the rounds! We enjoyed watching the Year 3, 4 and 5 Christmas performance and the children also put on two fantastic performances our Year 1 & 2 show, ‘Sparkle’. Thank you to all the parents and other family members who came to watch; the children worked really hard and we were really proud of them for performing so brilliantly – we hope you enjoyed watching!
On Wednesday we enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner and followed it with a festive film in the hall. Huge thanks to the team in the kitchen for putting on another amazing meal for us all.
Amongst all the Christmas fun, we have still managed to fit in some learning this week! In English, we wrote stories about our character, Supersprout, saving Christmas. Ask us to tell you all about what happened in our story. They are so good that we are hoping to be able to read them to the younger children in school next week.
In maths we continued to develop our understanding of how our number bonds to 10 can help us work out number bonds to 100. We found all the pairs of multiples of 10 that make 100 and then started working out pairs to 100 from other 2 digit numbers.
This week we used the laptops in ICT to create Christmas pictures and we have also created some festive-themed artwork too.
Have a lovely weekend,
From the Class Two Team
