In English this week the children have been practicing their story telling skills using the story of Rainbow Fish. We have been trying to use words and actions to tell the story as a whole class. The children have also been performing the story in small groups to the class. They have all worked really hard and we have enjoyed watching the performances of each of the groups. We have also been making story maps to identify the beginning, middle and end of a story.
In Maths we have continued to explore the addition fact families for numbers within 10. We are also practicing number bonds to 10 and representing them using concrete resources, part – whole models and number sentences.
We have also been rehearsing for our Christmas play and the children with speaking parts have been given their scripts to practice over the weekend. If you would like any help with providing the costumes, please let us know.
