This week has been very busy and exciting as we start to get closer to Christmas.
On Monday we finished writing our stories about a superhero called Sproutboy who saves Christmas. Ask us what happened in our stories. We tried really hard to add lots of detail and to edit and improve our own work.
In maths we have started to learn about division. When we are dividing we know we need to do ‘fair sharing’ to make sure we have equal groups. Using resources and drawings, we solved division problems. Later in the week we used number lines to illustrate how division is repeated subtraction. We have also discovered that division is the inverse of multiplication so the multiplication facts we know can help us solve division problems.
Obviously the highlight of our week has been our fantastic ‘Play in a Day’ workshop. The children worked really hard to learn their parts and did a fabulous job performing their nativity play to parents and then KS2 children. Thank you to all the parents who came to watch – we hope you enjoyed it.
Have a good weekend,
