Dear Parents Carers,
This week the children have been introduced to the other children and the adult in their family. They talked about what was important to them, what they enjoy doing when they are at home, pets they might have or other special people like brothers and sisters. We all learnt lots of new information about each other.
This week the children all learnt about self-portraits and the children all painted a self-portrait. They used a mirror and looked closely at the colours and shapes of their faces.
In Maths, the children have been learning about counting 1:1 and knowing that the last number we count is the number in the group. They are been introduced to a ten frame and we have started using it to help with counting.
Next week we will be sharing a story about ‘The Large Family’ we will be talking about our families and learning about labels. If your child would like to bring a family picture into school to share during family time next week please send them into a Class R adult in an envelope labelled with your child’s name. We will be sharing these on Wednesday 28th September 2016.
