As the Easter holiday comes around, Year 6 has been doing some really high quality work.
In English, we have stopped looking at Macbeth and metaphorical style work and have gone on to more formal writing styles, starting with writing a discussive letter about whether Year 6 pupils should read Macbeth. Our new parenthetical leaders have been working on a presentation about a parenthetical phrase of their choice and how it helps in formal writing while others are looking at passive voice and how it can change the emphasis of their work.
Meanwhile, in maths we have been working on our problem solving skills to get us ready for secondary school. Right now lots of people are working on different problems involving circles and before that how to find the volume of 3D shapes.
In science we have finished studying space and have now moved on to a new topic: evolution, natural selection, and how animals evolve over time.
To conclude, this term Year 6 have been working really hard to produce work they can be proud of no matter what the subject. Over time, the future Year 6 are sure to create high quality work, and we are really excited to see the work that we will produce in the coming terms.
