This week we wrote our ‘Snowman’ stories. We challenged ourselves to include more detail and to write more than one sentence about each stage of the story. You won’t believe how amazing our finished stories were – Mrs Lucas and Mrs Marsh were blown away by the amount we wrote! We can’t wait to show you them at the next open afternoon. Ask us what we included to make our stories interesting for the reader.
Our maths work this week has been focused on place value (how many tens and ones are in a number.) We’ve been making sure we really understand how to read, write and say the teens numbers and many of us have moved on to other 2 digit numbers , or even three digit numbers. We have practised ordering numbers and explaining how we know which number is greater or smaller, using our understanding of place value.
Our Christmas play rehearsals are going well. The children have been practising their songs and rehearsing in the hall. Thank you to those of you who have helped your children learn their words. Please can all costumes be in by Wednesday 2nd December. Do let us know if you have any problems finding a costume. Thank you

TASK: Who can practise identifying all coins? Try going to the shops and looking at the prices on different items – can you tell an adult how much things cost? Can you spot the £ and p symbols? Can you show an adult which coins they will need to buy an item?
