Firstly I want to say thank you to all the parents who invested time and effort helping their children with their homework last week. We have really enjoyed reading the letters in class and listening to the thoughts and feelings of the crayons. Writing in crayon is tricky but everyone managed very well.
We have been learning about nouns this week. We have been thinking about plural nouns and learning how to spell them. Ask your child what a noun is. Some nouns you can just add ‘s’ to make them plural but others you need to add ‘es’ to make them plural.
In maths we have been learning to use symbols to show if numbers are greater than or less than each other. We have also been ordering numbers and using our knowledge of number bonds to add several numbers.
In art we have been tie-dying fabric squares by using a stone, rubber band and pieces of string. On Monday we enjoyed removing the string and seeing the results. They look great.
Homework task: Write 10 sentences, include two nouns in each sentence and underline them.
