This week we have started our topic on ‘Celebrations’. We shared our homework and found it really interesting to listen to the different celebration and festivals that people had found out about. We’ve now come up with lots of questions that we would like the answers to.
So far this week we have found out about Baptism, Hanukkah, Diwali and the different Saints Days. We’ve also looked at how different people celebrate their birthdays around the world.
Our maths work this week has been about simple fractions and money. We started the week halving numbers and finding halves and quarters of shapes. We then moved on to looking at the values of different coins and comparing and ordering them.
In our grammar lesson we recapped explanation marks, question marks and proper nouns.
Please note that a letter has gone out in book bags, further explaining our class trip to Oxford Castle.
TASK: Who can put capital letters and punctuation marks in the right places? (See sheet in book bags)
