Week 6 (08/12/2014)

We are coming towards the end of this term. It has been extremely busy as I am sure you are aware and the children have all had lots of exciting experiences. We had our Key Stage Two Christmas play on Monday and Tuesday. I hope you all got to see it as the children worked so hard on it and all did a fantastic job.

At the start of the week, alongside the children’s fantastic work on fractions and descriptive writing, we had an Art and D.T day making pop up Christmas cards, paper snowflakes and had some drawing lessons on lots of Christmas related things.

On Wednesday we went to our school pantomime at the Hexagon in Reading. We watched Cinderella and if you haven’t heard about the magic horse yet you must ask your child.

Thursday we had an exciting Science day exploring magnetism. This had continued from our topic of ‘Forces.’ The children were almost beside themselves seeing what in the school was magnetic and which objects were not. Each child also made a Christingle ready for our Church service on Friday.

Next week we will continue to fit in as much as we can including a History day, lots of practical activities and P.E games alongside our Christmas lunch, Christmas party and watching the KS1 performance.

Don’t forget the last day of term is our Christmas jumper day!
