In year six we have had a fun filled week with lots of education. We hope you enjoy!!!! 🙂
MATHS
In maths this week, in the first part of the lesson, we have been learning about percentages.
In the second part of the lesson we do measurement (Miles, KM, M, Yards, Feet, Inches, CM, MM.) We learnt Metres converted into Kilometres and Millimetres into Centimetres and we found this very fun. 🙂
LITERACY
In literacy we have been learning all about news reports and we have also been reading lots of persuasive work. We learnt how to use the fish bone plan and we are now re-writing a persuasive report. 🙂
SCIENCE
In science this week we have been working on surface area using plastersine and also weights in water to see how this makes the weight change. We have been using Newton’s law and measuring in Newtons. 🙂
GERMAN
In German we have been making our own songs in pairs and translating it into German. For our Christmas play we are singing Silent Night in German. 🙂
PE
We have been doing hockey this week and have enjoyed playing matches together. 🙂
