This week class R have started to learn about ‘Space’. The children thought about different ways they could travel to space and designed way to get a little alien back to home.
In Maths, the children have been learning about 3D shapes, we learnt about a cylinder, sphere, cuboid and cube. We named shapes and looked for them in our environment. You could practice this at home by naming 3D objects in your home.
In gym the children learnt how to move on the apparatus safely and jumped two footed off a box. They took turns on the equipment and were creative with ways they could use equipment.
In phonics the children have been learning the graphemes, e,u,r and h. They have also been pratising blending for reading and segmenting for spelling. You can practice at home using the orange flashcards as well as at www.letters-and-sounds.com or using the twinkl app.
