Year 6….Back to it!

This week in maths we have been learning about fractions, comparing them, learning  how to add and subtract them, how to find fractions of amounts and finding common denominators.  Also in literacy we have started looking at news reports and on Friday we became our own reporters about an alien invasion at the school!

On Wednesday we went to Townlands Hospital in Henley to participate in their IMPS programme (Injury Minimisation Programme for Schools). We found out how to do CPR on a machine as well as use an AED machine.  Did you know we have one of these in school?  We also watched videos about how to treat patients with minor injuries.

Next week is our Anti-Bullying week so we will be doing sessions on e-safety.  We are really looking forward to seeing Mr Silvester!  Thank you to Mrs Maddison for teaching us these past couple of weeks, we have really enjoyed the different projects we completed!
