Week 7 (03/04/17)

This week in English we read the speech that Lou makes to the tribe in Stig of the Dump. We thought carefully about how her speech was put together and then we had a go at writing our own entertaining speeches. We then did some peer assessment in order to evaluate what was good and what needed to be improved in our writing. We have now finished reading Stig of the Dump, we all really enjoyed the book.

In Maths, we have been continuing to rehearse using inverse operations to check calculations and we have been checking answers using estimating.

On Tuesday, we enjoyed a violin concert, well done to all of the children in class 4 who performed.

In DT, we learnt about proteins and we tasted salmon, prawns and lentils. Well done to everyone who was brave and tried food that they haven’t had before!

Thank you to all parents who came to parents evening.

The class 4 staff would like to wish you all a happy Easter, we hope you have an enjoyable break!
