Week 6 (09/02/2015)

This week in English, we have been looking at informal letters. We read a few letters and identified the common features. Then we planned and wrote our own letters to a child living in Chembakolli. After half term, we will be completing fiction work on Imaginary Worlds.

In Maths this week, we have been reviewing our work from this term. After half term we will be learning about decimal numbers and we will be thinking about how we can solve multiplication problems involving decimals.

In Geography this week, we had a great afternoon tasting Indian food! We all had the opportunity to try a vegetable curry, rice, vegetable samosas, onion bhajis, naan bread and poppadum’s. After half term, we will be learning more about countries in Europe and the Americas.

In Science this week we have reviewed all of our work on states of matter. Next term we will be learning all about sound.

In RE, we will have learnt about how Hindu’s worship at home.

In Computing this week, we have continued to create our stop-frame animations and we completed our art collage work on Chembakolli. Next term in Computing we will be looking at databases. We will be investigating structures in DT.
