Maths

This week we have learning to use decimals. We also learned how to times and divide by 10,100 and 1000 (also using decimals.) We have been using abacus textbooks. Lewis has been a great partner to work with. Emily Saunders has been fun to learn with and blog with.

I.C.T

In I.C.T this week we have been learning scratch commands. The scratch command we have learnt how to do is to do the command ‘broadcast’, and ‘receive’. We had to make buttons that make your ‘sprite’ do something. We could design the button the way we wanted it to be. Then, we would say ‘when this sprite clicked broadcast e.g. ‘bomb’. Next we would click the sprite that wanted to move. On the sprite we wanted to move, we would put ‘when I receive bomb then,’ so you would do your script for the sprite. Finbar was really fun to work next to. He made lots of jokes too. Kyle too, is good to work with and blog with.

Science

We have been learning about dissolving in Science. You can use dissolving and evaporating to make your own crystals. No special equipment is needed! If you and a friend or family member both try this activity you could have a competition to see who grows the largest crystal! But if you do this, think how you could keep the competition fair?
