We have finished reading the Firework Maker’s Daughter this week, we really enjoyed this story. During the week, we thought about how we can use similes in our writing, we wrote diary entries and completed a book review. Next week, we will be writing Haiku poems based on ideas in the book.
In Maths we have recapped telling the time and we have been solving problems using time. We looked at timetables and calculated time durations by using a number line.

In Science, we are continuing to look at the human body and we have been thinking about our teeth!
Homework task for this week – The children have a maths times tables sheet. This work needs to be handed in by Tuesday 6th October.
Homework diaries will be collected in every week (usually on a Tuesday), house points will be given to children who have read at least 4 times at home and have had their book signed by an adult.
