This week we have started to write stories based on ‘In hot water’, which is all about Paddington taking a bath. We have been trying really hard to extend our sentences using conjunctions, to write more than one sentence about an idea and to use adjectives to describe. We have also been thinking really carefully about our word choices, making sure we use interesting words. Can you ask us to think about different words we could use for ‘big’, ‘little’ and ‘said’?
In maths we have been comparing amounts using the greater than, less than and equals symbol. We learnt that the 2 dots on the symbol always face the larger number. Can you give us some pairs of numbers to compare?

We went out for a walk around the village, looking at some places that we didn’t even know were there! We also had to look very carefully for clues that showed us whether Crowmarsh village has changed over the years or whether it has always been like this. Mr Hannigan showed us the old school buildings and told us all about the different shops that used to be in the village, including a leather saddlery. When we got back to school we talked about why the village has changed.
In art we have been busy designing Christmas cards! Although it feels a little early for Christmas these are the designs that will get printed onto Christmas cards which you can buy to raise money for the P.T.A.
We hope you have a lovely weekend,
The Class 2 team
