This week we have been finding out more about different types of home, in our country and abroad. We discussed the pros and cons of different styles of house, thinking about building materials, weather, location and cost. When looking at homes around the world we described one house each so that others could guess which one we had been looking at.
In our Maths work we have been using simple known number facts to help us solve more complicated addition and subtraction calculations. We’ve also been working out change from 10p, 20p and 50p – ask us to practise this next time we go shopping!
In ICT we learned how to use a search engine to find websites that would be useful for our topic. We had a lot of discussions about how to use search engines and the internet safety. Ask us what we know.
