Week 4 (14/03/2016)

Firstly I would just like to say well done to all those who did the homework task last week. Everyone read their story to the class and it was a real pleasure to see that the children were implementing some of the skills they have been learning this term.

In English we have been learning about co-ordinating and subordinating conjunctions.

Co-ordinating conjunctions link groups of words that are equally important.

Examples: and    but    or

Subordinating conjunctions are joining words that link to less important ideas.

Examples: after   although   as   because   if   that   when   while

In maths we have been drawing arrays ( rows and columns ) and writing multiplications that match them.

Homework task: Draw and write the multiplications for the

Two Times Table or The Five Times Table  ( or you could do both! )

2X2= 4        3X2=6   etc..

2X5=10        3X5=15        4X5=20  etc…

These are examples of arrays.
