Maths
In maths, we have been doing a percentages work. The three difficulties were mild, spicy and hot. One of the questions was to work out which one was the odd one out 40% of 900, 90% of 400, 60% of 850 and 25% of 1440.
We took stopwatches outside to time ourselves running around a track. The data that was collected will be plotted on a line graph. Each of the axes has to have a label and we need a title.
Grammar
We have been looking at putting success criteria on the board and making up our own sentences to diagram.
English
At the moment we have been looking at comparing children’s book to the river singers on a zig- zag grid. This s includes using percentages to see what it is made up from (description, development, action, feelings and emotions and thoughts and speech). We are writing our own story for different age ranges. We are going to show it to year R, 1, 3, 4, 5 and year 6 as well!
