In English this week, we have been recapping the features of persuasive writing. We looked at a text which tried to persuade us that playtimes should be banned. We found the persuasive features but didn’t agree with the arguments! We also debated whether or not animals should be kept in zoos. We will be continuing with persuasive writing next week.
In Maths, we have been working on exploring all the possibilities of a problem e.g. the arrangement of 4 pots on a shelf. We thought carefully about how to work systematically. Later in the week, we revised addition and subtraction.
In Geography we have been learning about the environment and recycling. This week, we designed posters to encourage more people to recycle at school.
In DT, we have started to practise different sewing stitches ready for when we begin to make our money containers/ pencil cases.
Please can the last few permission slips for our Hill End visit be sent into school as soon as possible. Thank-you.
