Week 2 (12/06/17)

In English this week, we have been continuing with ‘The Wolves in the Walls’. We thought about the way that the author describes the noises that the wolves make in the walls and we then wrote free verse poems which incorporated the sounds and the events in the story. At the end of the week we started to plan our own version of the ending of the story thinking about what might happen after the people have been in the walls.

In Maths we have been working on mental division. We have been using our knowledge of multiplication facts in order to solve problems such as 45 divided by 9 =  ? and 32 divided by ? = 8.

In history this week we learnt about foods that the Romans ate and we designed Roman menus for a day.

Some of Class 4 played in a rounder’s match at Cranford House on Monday afternoon and all of the children had a great time! The rest of the class had a go at programing games on Hour of Code.
