Week 2 (07/09/2015)

Class 4 have all settled really well into our new routines and are all working hard.

In English, we have started reading The Firework Maker’s Daughter by Phillip Pullman. We have thought about the character Lila and the demands of the White Elephant. We will be continuing to read this story over the coming weeks.

In Maths, we have been practising our number bonds to 100 and we have been using a number line to solve subtraction problems. Please work on number bonds and times tables at home.

We have started our history work on Ancient Egypt. We thought about what we already know and what we would like to find out. Next week, we will be looking at pictures of items from Ancient Egypt, trying to work out what they are!

Thank you to everyone who attended the curriculum talk.

Homework task for this week – The children will have a reading comprehension based on Ancient Egypt. This work needs to be handed in by Tuesday 15th September.
