Class 4 have had a really busy start to this term. In Literacy we have been looking at a story called ‘The Pharaoh in the Attic’. We have been looking at the characters in the story and we have started to think about writing our own stories. Next week we will be planning and writing our own stories with a familiar setting.
In our Maths lessons we have been recapping number bonds to 100 and counting on from a 3-digit number to the next hundreds number. Next week we will be revising partitioning and looking at comparing numbers.
Next week in Science, we will be learning about the nutritional value of different food groups.
In History we have started our topic on Ancient Egypt and we have thought about everyday objects that people used. Next week we will be thinking about the importance of the River Nile. In Art we have made Egyptian wrist cuffs decorated with hieroglyphics and Egyptian patterns.
