Maths
Throughout this week, we have been looking at adding and subtracting fractions with different denominators. We have also been recapping our
formal and mental methods for all operations. Speed, accuracy and efficiency has been our main focus for fluency sessions and we have greatly improved during the week.
English
We have finished our diary entries and been acting on our feedback to improve our work. In Grammar, we’ve been learning how to break apart a sentence into clauses and phrases, so that we can better understand how to construct effective and interesting sentences.
Others
During our science lessons, we were tasked with the challenge of constructing our own investigations, which were about friction, whilst ensuring that our tests were fair and accurate. We also learned how to lift a heavier load with a lighter load using a lever and pivot.
Reminders
Next week, we will be starting our engineering challenge so please bring in lots of boxes and other stuff for junk modelling.
