On Monday we had a Pobble writing day. Our theme was ‘Unlikely Heroes’. We created our own imaginative superheroes, thinking carefully about how they could have an unlikely or unusual super power. We then planned our setting and the plot for our stories. Once all the planning was complete, we started to write our stories. We liked how creative and imaginative we could be! In the afternoon, we had a commenting workshop with Tim from Pobble. In this session we were able to read work that has been published on Pobble and make useful comments on it. Finally, we ended the day editing and improving our own stories.
In English this week, we have started reading ‘The Wolves in the Wall’s’ by Neil Gaiman. We have been looking really closely at the pictures so as to use these to give more details about the characters and the story. We have also been continuing with our grammar work on prepositional phrases.
In maths, we have continued to work on time. We have been converting 12 hour to 24 hour clock and then we started to learn how to calculate durations of time.
A new homework grid should have come home today. Children are welcome to continue with tasks from the Summer 1 grid as well if they prefer.

Well done to everyone who has continued to read regularly.
