Firstly I would just like to say well done to all those who did the homework task last week. Everyone read their story to the class and it was a real pleasure to see that the children were implementing some of the skills they have been learning this term.
In English we have been learning about co-ordinating and subordinating conjunctions.
Co-ordinating conjunctions link groups of words that are equally important.
Examples: and but or
Subordinating conjunctions are joining words that link to less important ideas.
Examples: after although as because if that when while
In maths we have been drawing arrays ( rows and columns ) and writing multiplications that match them.
Homework task: Draw and write the multiplications for the
Two Times Table or The Five Times Table ( or you could do both! )
2X2= 4 3X2=6 etc..
2X5=10 3X5=15 4X5=20 etc…
These are examples of arrays.
