Week 2 (29/02/2016)

This term in English, we have been using the computer game Myst V as the stimulus for our writing. The game allows us to have a good look around a range of moving images. In the game, there are a series of ‘bubbles’ that transport the player to another land. This week, we have been thinking beyond the game, imagining where the bubbles might be found, who might use them and why they are used. Next week we will be writing all of our information on a non-chronological report.

In Maths, we have been looking at using money in addition and subtraction calculations.

In Geography this week, we looked at the daily life of a typical woman living in Chembakolli. We talked through how she would spend her day and we compared her life to our own.

Our DT work this term is all about seasonal food. Last week, we learnt about the seasonality of fruit and vegetables. This week, we talked about how food is reared, caught or processed.

Homework task for this week – Reading comprehension task, due in by Tuesday 8th March.

Please remember to keep reading 4 times a week!
