Week 4 (25/01/2016)

This week in English we finished reading the Secret Garden and we have been thinking about comparing books and films. On Wednesday, we watched the very opening of The Secret Garden film and we thought about the similarities and differences between this and the book.

Also this week, we had a go at the 100 word challenge. The prompt for this week was ‘But later that day’. Some of the writing is now on the 100 Word Challenge website where it can be publically read and commented on by people all around the world! Please be assured that this site is very safe – children are only listed using their first name, there are no photos and the site is closely monitored. Also, Mrs Corrigan will be moderating and approving any comments that are made on the children’s work.

In art/ computing, we have created our models and scenery for our stop frame animations. Next week we will start to have a go at taking photos with our cameras.

Science – we are encouraging the children to conduct further research into our science topic. Please follow this link to find out more about materials.
