It’s been a busy couple of weeks in Class 5! We had our very exciting trip to Henley River and Rowing Museum, where a great day was had by all! We learned all about the characters in the Wind and the Willows and their real life counterparts. It was fascinating! We also practised our sketching skills in the outdoor area of the museum, by the pond and stream.
Back at school, we wrote amazing descriptions of ferocious, rushing rivers (very different to the one we saw in Henley!) and this week we are starting to write a play script of The Wind in the Willows, thinking carefully about how to make it dramatic and fun to watch.
This afternoon (Thursday) we are very lucky to have Mrs. Le Fevre (Marnie’s mum) come and visit us to teach us all about being water scientists. Ask us about some of the shocking facts we have learned!
