This week in English, we have finished off our work on stories from Imaginary Worlds. We planned and wrote our own stories and then edited and improved them. We used our purple pens to highlight all of the improvements that we made! Next week we will be starting work on Information Texts and we will be learning about the area around Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.
In Maths this week, we have been learning about changing 12 hour to 24 hour times. We used number lines to count on and back in units of time. We have also been learning about area and perimeter. Next week we will be looking at multiplication and we will be solving multiplication word problems.
In Science this week we have been learning about changing pitch and measuring sound. We have also looked at how the ear works. Next week, we will be investigating how sound gets fainter as it gets further away.
In DT this week, we have planned how we are going to make our own replica of a famous structure. We will be making our structures over the next few weeks.
In ICT, we have continued to learn about databases. We now know how to search a database for information and we have started to create our own class database.
