Welcome to Term 4! We hope you had a lovely half term.
This week in English, we have started to look at stories from Imaginary Worlds. We have looked at a range of short stories, we have thought about the description of the characters and the settings. Next week, we will begin to create our own stories set in an Imaginary World.
In Maths this week, we have been learning about decimals. We have positioned decimals on a number line, used inequality signs to compare numbers and rounded decimals to the nearest whole number. At the end of the week, we started thinking about multiplication with decimal numbers. Next week we will be adding money and choosing appropriate strategies for addition/ subtraction problems.
In Geography this week, we have been thinking about countries in Europe. We used our own knowledge and atlas’ to label a map of Europe. Next week, we will be learning the European capital cities. A really big well done to everyone for their half term homework. There is now some fantastic project work on the classroom wall!
In Science this week we have started our topic on sound. We also had a great time in the Explorer Dome learning about forces.
