We had such good fun this week using finger puppets to perform plays. The children worked in pairs to write a scene for their finger puppets and perform it to the class. Everyone really enjoyed using the mini-theatre to perform their plays to other members of the class. There is nothing quite like having an audience to focus the mind when creating drama. It has been lovely to see the children grow in confidence when performing their plays.
Our maths objectives for this week.
We have been ordering and comparing numbers and marking them on a line, using < and > signs, find 1 and 10 more or less using the 100 square and finding 10 more and 10 less than any 2-digit number.
Reading
Although reading is incorporated into almost everything we do, there are times where we do more focused reading sessions. Please note, a sticker will be added to your child’s Reading Record book at the end of each week recording their reading activities.
G =Guided reading in a group of 5 or 6 children.
Q = a quick read in 2’s or 3’s at a higher level.
