In English we have had good fun this week as we focused our writing on a fairy tale story called The Pea and the Princess.
First we wrote the story as though we were the pea. Then we wrote the story from the point of view of the prince.
We all made a pea puppet on a stick and worked with a partner to act out a scene of our choice from the story.
In Maths we are learning how to tell the time to the quarter hour. Some of us know how to tell the time quite well so we have been doing an activity with a stop-watch or other tricky challenges.
If your child is not confident telling the time to the quarter hour, perhaps you could label a clock at home to reinforce what they have been learning in school.
In our art lessons we have been learning about Joan Miro.
Joan Miro was born on 20th April 1893. Ask your child where he was born.
He showed artistic promise from a young age. Miro attended drawing classes at a young age. Ask your child how old he was.
His artwork was inspired by Paul Cezanne and Vincent van Gogh, and he felt drawn to the Cubist artists who were working in Paris.
